KidSportTM
KidSport is a children's charity. It is designed to provide financially
disadvantaged children with the opportunity to participate in community
sport programs – so all kids can play.
The facts are clear, more young people than ever before are faced with harsh financial
realities. The barriers to simply playing and having fun are getting higher
and higher. It is also clear that kids and amateur sport are a powerfully
rewarding combination, producing great results. Results
that last a lifetime and take so little to get started. You can
help, so all kids can play.
All funds are used to help NWT children 18 and under reach their potential.
KidSportTM clears the way for kids
to get involved by providing support for registration fees, community
programs, and by making sure they've got the equipment they need. The
amount of funding available is based on fundraising initiatives and will
vary from year to year. Money is raised through contributions by the
corporate sector, as well as through special activities and events, in
order to help pay for programs and offset registration fees so that all
children can play.
