Update Your Group's Contact Information
The Hay River Recreation Department is updating their Community Groups/Organizations Contact List. To ensure that your group receives announcements, notices, Bingo Allocation Request forms, etc., please provide us with your updated 2009 information. Please include your group name, contact person, address, phone number and email address. You can submit this information to the Town of Hay River Recreation Department at 874-6522 extension 240, or email Andrea Mackie at amackie@hayriver.com.

Sports Equipment for Loan
Stay active this fall by playing all your favorite sports! No Equipment? NO Problem…we have tons for you to borrow!
Come down to the Recreation Centre and sign some out!

Ice Users Meeting
The Town of Hay River Recreation Department has scheduled an Arena Ice User Meeting for Wednesday, September 2nd, 2009 at 7:00 p.m. in the Community Hall at the Don Stewart Recreation Centre. All organizations interested in booking ice for the 2009-2010 ice season are encouraged to attend.

Make the Connection Night
The Town of Hay River is once again hosting Make the Connection Night on Wednesday September 9th from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 pm on the Curling Rink ice surface. All community organizations are invited to participate in this event, creating a ‘one-stop shopping’ opportunity for our resident’s recreation and volunteer interests.

Terry Fox Run
The Annual Terry Fox Run will begin at 11:00 am on September 13th at the Don Stewart Recreation Centre. Swim (2.5 KM), 5 & 10 KM Bike-Walk-Run routes. Pick up your pledge forms at the Aquatic Centre now.

AQUATIC CENTRE NEWS

Aquasize
Tuesday and Thursday 1:00 - 1:45pm and 6:30 - 7:15pm

Teen Swim

Looking for something to do with your friends? Come on down to the pool with a team of 3-5 and the lifeguard will be your referee for a game of water volleyball, modified water polo or water basketball! Let the fun begin! Teen Swim is every Friday night from 8 pm-9:30 pm. Must be 13-18 yrs to attend!


*Aquasize punch passes are available for this class as well and saves you money in the end! *

Private Swimming Lessons
If you just want to get more comfortable in the water to increase your confidence and learn basic swimming strokes or get help to correct what you know already then please call Ashley @ 874-6522 to set up a one on one lesson. All private lessons are 30 minutes in length.

Swimming Lessons
Weekday and Saturday lessons are now available! Please come down to register or call for more information on dates and times @ 874-6500.

New! Aquatic Centre/Fitness Pass
The Aquatic Centre and Fitness for Life dual membership is now on sale! Adults can now purchase their $95.00 Aquatic Centre/Fitness Pass which will allow them unlimited use of the Aquatic Centre and Fit
for Life Facility for one month. Passes can be purchased at the Aquatic Centre and at the Ptarmigan Inn.

Aquatic Centre Hours of Operation:
Monday – Friday: 6:30 am – 9:30 pm
Saturday: 9:30 am – 5:30 pm
Sunday: 11:00 am – 4:30 pm

Public Swim ANYTIME we are open! Adult Swim 8-9:30 pm Monday throughThursday. Teen Swim 8-9:30 pm every Friday.
