I lived twice in Hay River (twice blessed)with my brother Paul Stanford and his wonderful partner Diane Kelly. Once on Caribou Cres. and later in Delancey Estates. I miss Paul and Diane and Michael. I have had slippers unbelievably crafted by Dene craftspeople that have lasted these last 13 years.but alas they are finally finished... Such great slippers...my only connection left to the north..if anyone could e-mail me a site , a store, that would be able to replace these I would be forever greatful. I have been to Winnipeg and almost bought a pair but they were good but not like the one's from NWT...great memories of my time spent there, I know Paul would have retired there given the chance!!!
