Hay River Speedway Web Site
Like the roar of engines, the smells, the dust, the thrill
of speeding vehicles?
Then go down to the Hay River Speedway and watch drivers pit
their skills against each other as they roar around the 3/8mile
track in our local stock car racing events. (see
map)
HISTORY AND OVERVIEW:
The Hay River Speedway has been an established race facility
for ten years and is the most northern track in North American.
The town of Hay River, situated on the south shore of the
Great Slave Lake, is known as the 'Hub of the North'.
The Hay River Speedway Association is organizing events
such as Blindfolded Quad Races, Motocross, and Ministock
class open to drivers as young as 14. We are expecting
drivers and visitors from all over Alberta and the NWT for
an early August weekend for the 50-lap race and many
are expected to attend this event.
The Hay River Speedway hosts biweekly dirt oval stock car
racing from June through September, with one feature
event each year.
The Hay River Speedway Association invites you to travel
North of 60 for a great weekend of racing.
